We Built the Travel Site We Wished We Had.
No sponsored posts. No influencer discounts. Just a family of four sharing what we've learned the hard way.
Why The Resort Playbook?
When Lil and I were planning our family trips, we kept running into the same problem. Every review we read felt like a sponsored ad. No one was talking about how long it actually takes to get a reservation at the all-inclusive buffet with a hungry toddler, or whether that expensive excursion was actually safe for a seven-year-old.
So we started writing down what actually happened. The room hacks, the restaurant fails, the excursions that were worth the money, and the ones that weren't. This site is the result of that notebook.
How We Review
- •We pay our own way: We do not accept free stays in exchange for positive reviews.
- •Kid-tested, for real: The kids are our ultimate critics. If a resort's 'kids club' is actually just a dark room with a broken TV, we will tell you.
- •No fluff: You won't find generic packing lists here. We only recommend gear that actually survives our trips.
The Family Behind the Playbook
Billy, Lil, and the kids meeting the famous swimming pigs on Rose Island, Bahamas (July 2021).
This site is built from real family trips, real mistakes, and real wins. We share what we've learned so your family can skip the guesswork and get to the parts worth remembering.
