Why paying a premium to stay inside the main resort isn't always as convenient as it looks, and how to pick the right room for your family's budget.
The Comfort Suites Hack
If you want to save thousands, staying across the street at Comfort Suites is the move. You get full water park wristbands and a free hot breakfast. The rooms are standard, but they give us exactly what we need after an exhausting day. The best part? The walk from the lobby to the Atlantis property line takes about five minutes.
The Atlantis Illusion
If you have the budget and want the classic Atlantis experience, booking The Royal or The Cove is great. But beware of the proximity trap: Atlantis is massive. Staying in some of the more budget-friendly on-property towers (like The Coral) means your daily walk to the main Aquaventure slides might actually be longer than if you just stayed across the street at Comfort Suites. Don't pay the on-property premium purely for 'convenience' without checking the map.
The Verdict
If you plan to spend 90% of your time on the slides and want to save cash for excursions, book Comfort Suites. If you want the iconic balcony views and don't mind the premium resort food prices, book The Royal.
